If you or someone you love were recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and you’re wondering whether you may qualify for Social Security disability benefits, this video is for you.
My name is Kaitlin Wildoner and I’m an attorney who helps disabled clients obtain their disability benefits as quickly as possible so they can focus on getting better.
Today, we’re going to discuss when pancreatic cancer may qualify an individual for Social Security disability benefits through the compassionate allowance program. Pancreatic cancer cases can be “easy” in that Social Security will often evaluate cases involving pancreatic cancer under listing 13.20.
This listing requires a pathology report showing the diagnosis. Therefore, submitting the pathology report along with your Social Security application can often be the quickest way for an approval for pancreatic cancer, though it may still take several weeks or months depending on the current case backlog.
Thanks so much for watching. If you’re disabled and unable to work, click the scheduling link here or give us a call directly for a free consultation where we discuss your case and see what I can do to help you.
